TzAR: Pixel Art Anthology

TzAR: Pixel Art Anthology cover

TzAR (Tezos Art Review): Pixel Art Anthology has two main goals: to showcase the extraordinary diversity of approaches to the pixel art medium, and to celebrate an exciting cross-section of the Tezos art community representative of the special culture we are producing together in this corner of the digital art world. Featuring more than fifty artists from all around the globe and a Foreword by Adrian Pocobelli, TzAR: Pixel Art Anthology is a colorful crash course in the pixel art underground, where styles are born, techniques refined, and the boundaries are being redrawn.

Publication History

Twelve excerpts from TzAR: Pixel Art Anthology were published on the Electric Chronicles blog throughout the first half 2025. Electric Chronicles spotlights art on the Tezos blockchain. It is produced by Cyberforms online gallery and supported by TriliTech Ltd. The series appeared under the title TzAR: Pixel Art Profiles and each post featured work by three artists participating in the anthology and provided a quick introduction to an important issue in pixel art.

The launch of TzAR: Pixel Art Anthology was supported by a Spaces event on August 13, 2025 co-hosted by Adrian Pocobelli. A recording of the event can be listened to on X.com. The lauch was also supported by the release of a curation on objkt.com featuring all 171 artworks included in the anthology.
